Job description

The Accounts Payable Expat is responsible for managing the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. The position plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities

Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely payments.
Payment Management: Schedule and prepare payments for vendors, utilities, and other accounts payable transactions, coordinating approvals as necessary.
Expense Report Verification: Process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
Vendor Relations: Communicate with vendors to resolve billing discrepancies, ensure prompt payment processing, and maintain positive relationships.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions, ensuring documents are organized and easily accessible for audits.
Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable balances with vendor statements and the general ledger on a monthly basis.
Audit Support: Assist in preparing necessary documentation for audits and respond to auditor inquiries related to accounts payable.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and applicable financial regulations.

Education & Training 

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
2–3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role

Accounts Payable Principles.
Financial Software.
Compliance Standards.
Accounting Fundamentals.
Vendor Management.

Skills & Abilities  

Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure accuracy in processing payments and reviewing financial documents.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage a high volume of invoices, payments, and documentation.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with vendors and internal departments effectively.
Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying and resolving discrepancies quickly and efficiently.
Time Management: Strong time management skills to meet payment deadlines and monthly reconciliation schedules.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze accounts payable data and recognize patterns or issues requiring attention

9 Hours ( +/- 90 minutes)
