The Accounting Manager is responsible for long-term financial goals and developing strategies to achieve the financial objectives with senior management.
This position forms a part of the Executive Management Team which determines all business decisions.
Also, manage the venues financial operations, including oversight of accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, payroll, production of financial statements and reports

Duties & Responsibilities

Directing financial planning and strategy.
Direct the day-to-day accounting operations including oversight of accounts payable and receivable, payroll and maintenance of the general ledger.
Prepare, analyse and present financial reports (income statements and balance sheets) in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements to senior management.
Set department objectives while monitoring the ongoing progress and performance.
Ensure strong communication between teams under leadership to facilitate exchange of information and to implement change and improvements.
Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the employees.
Responsible for developing the appropriate organizational structure, resource plans and culture to support organization’s objectives and guest deliverables.
Provide leadership, coordination and coaching to the team. Ensuring they are trained enabling them to achieve the operational and financial metrics within their areas of responsibility and to succeed in their roles
Complete regular performance reviews, manage attendance, holidays, disciplinary issues and procedures as appropriate.
Establish strategy and best practices for employees to ensure achievement of organization’s overall objectives.

Education & Training 

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field required;
MBA/ CPA preferred.
Proven years of relevant work experience as a senior accountant or equivalent.
Working knowledge of GAAP, audits, and other regulatory requirements in the financial field.
Expert computer skills, including Office, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
Demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment.
The ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Superior written and verbal communications skills.
Strong analytical skills.

Knowledge & Experience

An Account Manager should possess a blend of hard and soft skills, along with relevant experience, to effectively manage client relationships and drive business growth. Here's a breakdown of the key knowledge and experience areas:
Knowledge:
Industry Expertise: A deep understanding of the industry the company operates in, including market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
Product/Service Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the company's products or services, their features, benefits, pricing, and how they solve customer problems.
Sales Processes: Familiarity with the sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification to closing deals and account management.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Systems: Proficiency in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track customer interactions, manage leads, and analyze data.
Contract Negotiation: Understanding of contract terms, pricing models, and negotiation strategies to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
