Job Description
The Junior Sous Chef assists in daily kitchen operations, focusing on supervising assigned stations, supporting menu execution, and training junior team members. The role requires adaptability, creativity, and strong teamwork to ensure smooth kitchen workflow and consistent food quality.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in kitchen operations, supporting the Sous Chef to ensure smooth food preparation and timely service.
- Supervise and guide kitchen staff, maintaining high standards of cooking, efficiency, and teamwork.
- Ensure culinary standards: food quality, consistency, and presentation meet restaurant expectations.
- Uphold hygiene and safety protocols in compliance with health regulations.
- Manage inventory: assist with ordering, stock monitoring, and proper storage.
- Contribute to menu planning, recipe development, and new dish creation.
- Mentor and train kitchen staff, providing feedback to improve performance and productivity.
