Job description

The Tech Engineer is responsible for maintaining and optimizing all technical systems and equipment, ensuring the seamless operation of audio, visual, lighting, and other technical aspects of live events. This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with various teams to deliver exceptional event experiences. The Tech Engineer plays a key role in ensuring all technical systems run efficiently, from setup to breakdown, ensuring that events go smoothly and meet the highest standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

Technical Equipment Setup & Configuration: Set up, configure, and test all technical equipment for live events, ensuring sound, lighting, and video systems meet event specifications and troubleshoot any issues before the event begins.

Live Event Support & Operation: Operate and monitor technical systems during live events, providing real-time troubleshooting and technical support to ensure seamless coordination.

System Maintenance & Calibration: Perform regular maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of technical systems to keep them in optimal working condition and minimize downtime.

Collaboration with Event Teams: Work with production teams, artists, sound engineers, and technical staff to meet event technical requirements and ensure smooth coordination between departments.

Inventory & Equipment Management: Maintain an organized inventory of technical equipment, ensuring functionality and coordinating necessary repairs, replacements, or upgrades.

Event Setup & Breakdown: Assist with the setup and breakdown of technical equipment before and after events, ensuring safe handling and proper storage for future use.

Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations during the setup, operation, and breakdown of technical systems and conduct risk assessments when needed.

Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of equipment usage, maintenance, and repairs and provide reports on technical issues and equipment performance to the senior technical manager.

Continuous Learning & Development: Stay updated on the latest trends in event technology and technical systems and participate in training to improve knowledge and skills.

Education & Training 

Degree or certification in Audio Engineering, Event Production, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.

3+ years of experience in technical event production, with a focus on live sound, lighting, and video systems.

Working Conditions

9 Hours ( +/- 90 minutes)

    This assessment evaluates key qualities essential for hospitality roles, such as problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills. Candidates must score 80% or higher to qualify for an interview at the Job Fair.

     

  2. Register for the Job Fair 
    The registration link will be available after you pass the test.
