Job description
This role involves assisting members with their fitness needs, ensuring the fitness area is well-maintained, and providing excellent customer service to enhance the overall gym experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
Facility Maintenance:
Ensure the gym and fitness centre is clean, tidy, and well-maintained at all times.
Regularly check gym equipment for safety and functionality, reporting any issues to the Supervisor for immediate action.
Set up and organize fitness equipment and ensure it is stored properly after use.
Replenish towels, water, and other amenities as required.
Member Assistance:
Greet members and guests in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival.
Assist members with the proper use of gym equipment, offering guidance on correct techniques when necessary.
Provide information on fitness programs, classes, and gym policies.
Address member inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring a positive and supportive experience.
Customer Service & Engagement:
Foster a welcoming, supportive, and motivating atmosphere within the fitness centre.
Provide assistance to guests and members as they complete their workouts, ensuring they feel comfortable and confident using gym facilities.
Encourage members to engage in fitness programs, classes, and personal training services.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Ensure all gym equipment is in safe working order and that safety protocols are being followed.
Ensure the gym environment complies with health and safety regulations, including cleanliness and sanitation procedures.
Maintain a safe environment for all gym users by being vigilant for any potential hazards or safety concerns.
Education & Training
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Additional certifications in fitness or wellness (e.g., CPR, First Aid, fitness training) are an advantage but not mandatory.
On-the-job training will be provided on the use of fitness equipment, safety standards, and customer service expectations.
Working Conditions
9 hours ( +/- 90 minutes)

This assessment evaluates key qualities essential for hospitality roles, such as problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills. Candidates must score 80% or higher to qualify for an interview at the Job Fair.
